i’ve gained 30 lbs from binging.

i see a lot of those “this is what it feels like to lose weight” posts. but this is what it feels like to GAIN weight. 

- i have more rolls when i sit down that weren’t there before

- my shirts literally get stuck in my fat rolls

- i can see my muffintop bulging under my skirts or pants

- my cheeks look swollen in comparison to how chiseled they used to look

- none of my old clothes fit

- my rings are too small for my fingers now

- nobody tells me “you’re so skinny” anymore

- everyone says “you don’t look like you gained weight!” when i ask, but the looks on their faces and tone of their voice makes it clear they’re lying

- my thighs touch uncomfortably when i stand

- i can’t bear looking in the mirror anymore

- i can’t see my hipbones or ribs anymore

- i feel like shit literally all the time, i didn’t think it was possible to be more self conscious of my body

- i didn’t realize how skinny i was until i gained this much weight.

think about this the next time you want to binge.

so like,, if you’re drinking a cup of tea, a cup of water, a cup of coffee, diet soda (whatever) to soothe your hunger and keep urself from eating, trick ur brain. don’t be like “i’m so hungry :(( oh well i’ll just have this nasty cup of green tea instead of eating even though i know i’ll still be hungry :( …” instead, think: “i’ll have this cup of green tea! this will fill me up! i won’t even handle the thought of eating anything after this nutritious drink!” y'know, treat it like it’s a huge meal and do something productive or keep yourself busy afterwards, it really does help.

literally stop complaining about not losing weight if you arent sticking to your calorie limit and putting in the work. nobody is going to do the work for you. youre the one who has the choice of having an extra snack before bed or shaking off the laziness and really working out. stop creating a problem for yourself by choosing to not stick to limits and commit to working out in some form, bc nobody else feels bad for you when you dont lose weight. quit wasting time. its sad.
